Happy Birthday Jacki. Hope you have a great one tomorrow.

That is especially pretty the intense color and pattern of the letters. Like it!

Howard, in Canada I think the tipping concept have gotten out of hand. Some restaurants under pay the waiters expecting they will make up the rest through tips, so tipping becomes expected instead of something you can give for good service. Any way about Liverpool, I had the pleasure of spending the night onboard the Queen Mary last summer which is a famous product of Liverpool, next to the Beatles and great music.

Couldn’t agree with you more about everything you said Jacki. I’d just like to add that from “Aufstehn” to “Hey Bull Dog”, whatever end of the spectrum in genre they cover, they sound truly remarkable giving huge fans of the original songs a new fresh experience to enjoy. This versatility and musical depth show up in their original music too from a rock and roll “This Boy is Mine” to a sophisticated “Nothings in Vain”, or a hard rock “Club 27” to a heart stirring ballad “Still A Friend of Mine”. Their greatest musical strength I think is their incredible singing and vocal harmony that together just explodes into one of the most beautiful sounds in the musical world. The singing and harmonies in “The Best Years of our Lives”, or “Little Drummer Boy” among many others are just sublime beyond words.
What the musical world today is missing is the kind of creative and diverse musical talent MLT brings, and I think it is getting ripe for MLT to make a big global impact.

Although this talks about nostalgia to the 90’s, I think modern music today just lacks the talent to keep the current generation interested so I think it’s a great time too for the current generation to discover the talent of the MLT and hear what real great music and original song writing sounds like from the era that launched the greatest bands of all time.

I heard on the CBC over the weekend that the current selection of music output from POP bands is so bad, listeners are going back to the 90s. Bands like Back Street Boys, and Spice Girls are making a come back, and a lot of pop groups are going back to the 90’s sound because they sound more positive than the music being created today. The general public is getting tired of modern pop music.

That’s a pretty extensive list. What do you guys think of Chicago that I noticed is not mentioned? They were quite big in the 70’s with their own distinct sounds, and I like some of their later stuff in the 80s and 90s as well. I was listening to Beatles Revolver the other day and when I heard “Got to Get You Into My Life”, I immediately thought of Chicago. With this one song, I think the Beatles were a pre-cursor to a whole generation of sounds that bands like Chicago, Boston, Steely Dan, Toto, Steve Miller Band, Little River Band etc would go on to immortalize. How great is the Beatles.

Lisa, is there tipping in Austria? I know tipping is a big North American thing, not done in many other parts of the world. Nothing drives me more crazy than a waiter with an attitude, especially in an expensive restaurant, but I can feel better by not leaving a tip in Canada when I leave, or leave bread crumbs everywhere 🙂

Tomas, thanks. I think I get it now from what you wrote. yvurgy ets (sigh), played backwards. I’ll have to figure a way out to play Glass Onion backwards to actually hear the message.

It reminds me of a Truckers cassette I had a long time ago. It had songs like Convoy, Teddy Bear, Giddy Up Go, etc on it. I recall there was more talking than singing on most of those songs, kinda like rap.

Your Moto Guzzi California sounds like quite the impressive cruiser.
I had my share of speeding tickets with my first mustang, including running over someones garden and shrub in their front yard one evening when I tried to impress a date. Blew out both my front tires in the process. Smartened up after that. 🙂

Couldn’t agree with you more about modern music industry and lack of talent and creativity. Doing my part to push that thread to reach 100!

Those are some great covers you list Tommy, but then all their covers are great arent they. From the interviews I hear it mentioned Drive My Car is a more difficult Beatles song to cover because of the off beat guitar piece. MLT impress with how well they do this one. Love the singing and Monas harmonica on Please Please Me.

Lisa’s singing on You’re Gonna Lose That Girl is just stellar. That’s an awesome cover and example where MLT musical depth and talent just shine so brilliantly.
