Saw both videos, and Toni is very good on the guitar, and Reina’s Hold me Before I’m gone Forever song is a very sweet ballad.  They are both very talented and I can see why you like them so much.  It’s too bad real talent like MLT and Reina are not dominating the charts these days instead of the canned music the industry is trying to ram down everyone’s throat.  Perhaps vehicles like MLT Club, that goes more direct to the fans that appreciate real good music and talent, is the way of the future for the music industry.  Seems like the greed of the modern status quo mega music labels and promoters have killed creativity in the garbage they are trying to push to the masses as good music.

Hi Howard.  Wow, you have quite the experience and passion it looks like for motorcycles.  Sounds like a lot of fun.  Your current Moto Guzzi California Tourer 1400 sounds pretty incredible.

My first Mustang was a sleeper 1989 5.0 Liter V8 Mustang LX coupe, the kind the highway patrol used as their interceptors.   Cruised the Vancouver BC to Los Angeles route over a dozen times over the years.  Done it in 22 hours once taking turns with a friend.   Properly optioned they were regularly beating vettes off the line back then because they were so light and had so much torque.  Had that one for 13 years and put on 340,000 KM on that bullet proof drive train, and then in 2002 got a lazer red all decked out Mustang GT with a 4.6L V8 and had that one right up until last year.  Unlike my first sleeper mustang, the 2nd one was a real looker.  I had a huge response on Craig’s list when I sold it, people offering more than what I was asking for.  Hope to get another one in the not too distant future.  With independent rear suspension they can handle as good as European high end sports cars now.

Both Reina and MLT did Janis Joplin’s Mercedes Benz and Chuck Berry’s Johnny B Good, so it was fun comparing their versions.

I have to say MLTs vocals in Mercedes Benz and Johnny B Good are quite a bit more dynamic to my ears than Reina’s who has a strong country influence to everything.

I just listened to some of her originals on the youtube channel and Reina Del Cid is indeed a female Bob Dylan as you say.  Has that signature Dylan vocal down good.  Which video does Toni Lindren appear?

The Glass Onion hidden message is still a mystery to me.   “Leave and be it….”????  I hope someone can enlighten me.

Hi Howard.  It was a family country restaurant called “Ricky’s” that is half way between my parents old place and the airport that our family have been going to for years.  Whenever my brother came up to visit my parents and was heading back home to either drive back to LA or fly back, the whole family would meet at the restaurant to say goodbye.  Great breakfasts, turkey dinners, or anything country.  Never would have guessed they had “Sticky Toffee Pudding” of all places.

Howard, Jacki, I couldn’t agree with you both more.  They must come out to Canada one day while touring the world moving and touching souls with their music.

    Still a Friend of mine

Happy new year to you both, MLT, and all the fans.  May we all have a rewarding 2019.

Howard, now how old do Mona and Lisa look here in this sweet acoustic performance video?  This one should be of more significance to you as it was done right in your back yard. Huge backyard that is.  🙂

This is one of their early videos that is a fave of mine.   Love the simple raw sound of just their voices and guitars on this one that really stand out.  When I first saw this, I thought boy can they sing!  Discovered this wonderful song because of this video.  The MLT version here is faster, and more upbeat than Jason Mraz’s original , and I like them both.

Howard, I see what you mean.  In the first clip, without knowing the date, my first guess would put them at 5 or 6 by virtue of their adorable cute baby faces, but then there is the little girl standing next to Lisa who is quite a bit smaller, I presume from a lower grade who also look like 5 or 6.   So compared to that little girl, it makes me think they could be 7.  Also in the immediately following clip, it looks like it is still the same concert, and in that clip they do look like they could be 7 there standing next to the other kids.

Perhaps when Mona and Lisa return from their well deserved holiday hibernation in the new year 🙂 they can confirm for us.

Justin Beiber and Brittany Spears are real too, but they will be forever remembered as entertainers instead of singer/song writers in music history.

    Hi Lisa
For New Years Eve I went out for dinner with the family and when the dessert menu came around after the big meal, guess what was on it?
Yup, Sticky Toffee Pudding, I finally found it!!!  🙂 Everyone else was stuffed, but not me, I had to have it. I see why you like it, that sticky toffee just melts in your mouth. It was so good!!!
I’ll never pass up Sticky Toffee Pudding if I see it in a dessert menu from now on.
