I am sure if I expressed the greatness of Hendricks or Page back in the day, I would get a similar response, but Lisa is the best darn female guitarist I’ve heard, of any significance to me.

A warm welcome Ron. Monalis-aholic, I like that 🙂

Mona can hold her own on the drums up against anyone, and she can play a mean Blues Harp, but she shines with her hard rocker voice. “Revolution”, “Club 27”, “You Really Got Me”, are just examples where she just nails it! Love the way she carries the vocal expressions in those fast songs, epitome of cool! And of course the harmonies with Lisa is sublime.

A warm welcome George. Looking forward to seeing you around the MLT club!

Welcome Jean-Marc, nice to meet you.
Your english sounds great, even if you had a little google help. It is much better than my French will ever be.

Hi Bob
Yes it was a beautiful day at the Pike Place market in Seattle.
I’m up in Vancouver now. Lived in Seattle when I was a kid for a few monthes and visited there growing up a lot so very fond of Seattle.
Would love to have MLT come out to the Pacific Northwest for a concert one day and see our beautful little corner of the world as Mona mentioned. Wouldn’t that be nice? 🙂

Hello neighbor from just north of you. Was in your lovely city last month where my avitar picture was taken. A warm welcome!

I think Lisa is the greatest female rock and roll guitarist in the music world today, and perhaps ever.
Her playing on While My Guitar Gently Weeps, and on Orange in Club 27, and on the latest new songs on the 2 new albums prove it.

Yes music is essential.
I especially love this quote that I always have in my journal.
Without Art (music), the crudeness of reality would make the world unbearable. – George Bernard Shaw

It’s very helpful Rudi. I like it.

I don’t think John and Paul felt the competition from Brian was overrated. They noticed Pet Sounds, and decided they needed to up their game and did Sargent Peppers.
I agree with you completely about the Beatles music being immortal. They indeed tower above the rest.
Enough of that, time for all to go and listen to the new MLT albums again.

Hi Howard
If Brian Wilson had kept it together, I wonder where the one upmanship rivalry between Brian and the Beatles would have led. Maybe the musical plateau would have been even higher than what it is. I guess we will never know.

Mike. I would be interested more in knowing Mona and Lisas favourite Beatles album.
Tim. Your take on Rubber Soul is interesting. Apparently it is the album that moved Brian Wilson so much it inspired him to answer back with Petsounds. And rumor has it Sargent Peppers is Beatles response to Pet Sounds.

Thanks Lisa! 🙂
I’ve really gotten into vinyl again these days since receiving the Orange album in vinyl, and since my only Beatles LP is Sargent Peppers, Rubber Soul will be next, followed by Revolver. What better way to start my Beatles record collection in vinyl than with the ones that are your favorites.
