Hi Jacki, thanks, and great to hear you had a most enjoyable family Thanksgiving dinner.
This year it was just me and MJ doing a quiet Thanksgiving. We went out to a little country town east of the city called “Fort Langley”, and discovered the most enchanting little country trail with picket fences and fall leaves we hiked a bit. It felt like the middle of summer in October though. Picked up a very spicy Mexican Pizza (topped with tons of Jalapenos) on the way back home and had a non traditional Thanksgiving dinner, pizza and wine!

Hi Bill! Great to hear from you! Hope you are doing well and enjoying retirement in the Janitor Joe spirit.
Great story there of a new MLT fan you brought into the fold.
A few years ago my neighbour across the street, who also had a couple of Mustangs (5.0L), I knew was a huge Rolling Stones fan, so I sent him a link to MLTs “Paint It Black” video. He was over at my place the next day raving about it, and also “The Last Time” and many of the other 60s covers. I also gifted a couple of my friends MLT CDs and merch, and they love the music. One of my friends was really sick with cancer, and I got him the Orange vinyl, and MLT were gracious enough to personally sign it with a nice feel better message he really liked. I also posted many MLT Youtube videos at the “Classic Rock Forum”, and I like to believe it helped many to discover MLT. (you have to be logged in with the free membership to see the posted videos)

Hi Daryl, welcome to the MLT Club! Enjoyed reading your write up, and I too love music with guitar riffs especially, or any good guitar work. I think modern music lack any good guitar work if any these days. We don’t have musicians any more in the same league as Mona and Lisa. Nice little family of beautiful guitars you got going there. Thanks for posting the pictures of them. Like that little white one in your collection.
I’m from Canada too by the way, Vancouver.
I love this video by Mona and Lisa, my guitar heroes.

Hi David, Roger. Yeah I was blown away too when I learned this beautiful tender and emotionally expressive song was one of their earliest originals. It would be awesome if Mona and Lisa brought this one back and did a refreshed version like on a Duo Session. For now we just have to imagine what Lisa’s first solo performance at an Open Mic in LA must have sounded like.

I love the infectious catchy melody driven by the melodic guitar work that captivates the listener. The vocals and guitar play along together in unison wonderfullly. Some really superb guitar flourishes in this song really stand out. Love Lisa with the White Falcon, and Mona rocking out on the guitar in the Pope outfit always makes me smile, brilliant!
Some great guitar sounds I can hear on the new album from the sneak peeks.

Hi JP, that was really beautiful, and the intro to The Sound of Silence on the piano was very stirring. That “thimble” added a great effect with the piano.
Her cover of Aha Take On Me is great, and the sketch like background is really cool, just like the Aha video. Some great playing, and nice flight of the bumble kind of virtuosity. I have a Casio Privia too, but not as nice as that one, if only I could play like that! 🙂 Her Stairway to Heaven is very nice too. Thanks for that, awesome!
And thanks Jurgen and Tom for the videos, enjoyed them all.

Hi David, yeah an interesting observation. I would imagine in the early days, maybe even going back to childhood they made a conscious effort for Mona to stand/pose to the right of Lisa, but I it’s likely by now it’s second nature maybe for them whenever they get in front of a camera. A music video with Lisa Mona is indeed a rare bird. I had to go all the way down under south of the equator to a cave in Australia to find one, where things tend to be opposite, like water swirls into the drain in the other direction I think??? ????

And nothing satisfies a sweet tooth munchies craving better than those addictive Tim Horton’s Timbits. And for JP, we have Halloween Timbits! ????

Hi Tom, nice to hear some Pablo Cruise, haven’t heard them in a while. A very nice catchy song, and powerful piano intro!

Hi Jurgen, some great jazzy virtuosity going on there by the two ladies. That makes me want a grand piano one day, but I see it will be a challenge to get one of those in my little home office. May have to do that folding a sailing ship trick in a bottle thing. LOL.
