A little time jump and a really sad song

Member27/02/2022 at 17:18 in reply to: Some of the most beautiful songs come from a broken heartAt the risk of repeating myself, I find it fascinating how many songs there are that you’ve heard at some point and don’t know who released them. 96 Tears is an example of this.

Member27/02/2022 at 16:51 in reply to: Some of the most beautiful songs come from a broken heartYes, there are some songs that once they get stuck in your brain, don’t want to leave.
David you are right, only now I realize how many songs from that time are about tears and rain that washes them away. Washing away all worries and pains. A beautiful metaphor. Almost ritualistic.

Thanks for the song “Crying in the rain”, David. I knew it only as a cover version. I think the topic of rain and songs would be worth its own topic.

Member25/02/2022 at 19:24 in reply to: Some of the most beautiful songs come from a broken heartI was just drifting down memory lane and thinking of broken hearts and I ended up here: I was 18 or 19 and she was my second great love in my life. Her name was Silke and I will always remember her with this song. How things turned out for me you can probably imagine. Have you ever thought about how your life would have turned out if some things had ended out differently?

Member27/02/2022 at 08:08 in reply to: Some of the most beautiful songs come from a broken heartHello Diana,
I was hoping you had your Kleenex handy. I didn’t know Sonny Bono wrote that song. It’s exciting to see that many famous songs have been composed by an even more famous “ghost writer”.
