I would love to see/hear you play more harp Mona! How about for one of your Duo Sessions coming up for the Advent calendar? When I was a kid I would sneak into my Dad’s room and try to play his Hohner Chromonica. As I grew older I bought one for myself. After Dad passed away many years ago I grabbed his. Here is a pic.Chromonica 1

Thanks so much for sharing this story with us Tomas. I too was very touched watching your video… and she really did do a wonderful job with such limited experience. Loved your choice of music! It really is a beautiful guitar and one she will never part with thanks to your gift of love.

I guess it’s just gotta be a whole “World Tour”! But please, don’t wait too long cause I for one am not getting any younger.

If Paul had his “act together” the next time he plays in Liverpool (or anywhere for that matter) he should invite you onstage to play and sign with him.

Hi Skip! Yes, you can “Count On Me” too (thanks Jacki!). I would blast through a solid granite mountain to help promote the greatness of the Twins. By the way, who is Jools?

Thanks for the question Howard. I too would love to see the video. It is important history and a glimpse into further understanding and appreciating how remarkable Lisa and her family are.

Lisa, what a brilliant way to describe your song making process. Your writing is so imaginative, coherent and entertaining – just like your music! And to think English isn’t even your native language and that you dropped out of high school!!!? Go figure!? You are so absolutely amazing!

  • Oh, by the way, it was the BB who ripped off Mr. Berry in case you didn’t know. But, I love both.

  • I couldn’t be happier to celebrate MLT’s cover of the Beach Boys’ “God Only Knows” hitting the 1 million mark as it it one of my very favorite MLT covers. The Beach Boys and the Beatles were my top two bands growing up in California during the 60’s. Actually though I still cannot understand why ALL of MLT’s work doesn’t have at least 10, no; 100 times as many hits as it does.  As far as obvious musical plagiarism goes, how about The Beach Boys’ “Surfing USA” vs Chuck Berry’s “Sweet Little Sixteen”? It doesn’t get any more obvious than that!

Yes I too would LOVE to see those videos Lisa, “should we be so lucky”. That would be a very special treat indeed. Great question Tomas. Talking about great finger pickin’ guitarists like Chet Atkins, I would bet being in North Carolina Tomas that you are also a great fan of Doc Watson? Another favorite legend of mine.

A sincere welcome to you Bill!

The Twins certainly seem to attract a variety of artists. Congratulations, I have great respect and admiration for any artist that can make a career out of what their passion in life is. And yes, Lisa’s photography skills are awesome too. I guess the gift of creativity can naturally expand over into many artistic disciplines.

    Hello and welcome Brad!

I enjoyed reading your introduction and it sounds like we have a lot in common! You obviously are a very loyal and devoted fan of the twins. I also was introduced to them through their cover of “Drive My Car”. “Count On Me”, and “Time Of The Season” are also both standouts for me.

However, I will have to take exception to your claim of  “Your Biggest Fan from Idaho” as I am also in Idaho, in Middleton -just west of Boise. And, although you may be bigger than I am (I am 6′ 1” / 195 lbs), you couldn’t possibly be the Twin’s biggest fan because I already am!

But a very warm welcome indeed! Its nice to know the Twin’s following is growing to the point that they have more than just one or two fans around here! Looking forward to hearing from you from time to time here in The Club.
