Groovy!  I was hoping you’d publish some of your neon signs and poems here!  The more PPJBJ changes, the more PPJBJ stays the same; lol!

  • Hi again Tim aka Mr. Connelly,

With the Wisdom of Solomon, Team MLT aka the Wagner family has come up with the perfect solution, eh?  🙂  I, for one, am very satisfied with their decision!

I read somewhere that you stay in Carolina!  Are you a  native or a Yankee import to the “Old North State?”  I love Carolina!  My bride and I stayed in Charlotte from 1986 to 1990.  We have many dear friends there still.  In the sharply divided college teams in your state, a few of my spiritual brothers influenced me to root for the Tar Heels while I was there.  It still gives me a smile when they beat Duke in hoops.  I hope you are not a Blue Devil; yikes!  If so, my apologies! 😉

I moved her back to Nebraska with me a few months after my father passed away.  I was born in Omaha in 1950 and am back to the land of fertile black soil and the breadbasket of the nation.  My roots are deep in the heartland, and my blood runs Husker scarlet.  Nonetheless, I treasure the 4 years we spent together in Charlotte when we were newlyweds of only 5 years.

We were there for Hurricane Hugo in ’89, the first couple years of the Charlotte Hornets, and when we left they were building the stadium for the Carolina Panthers.

I’ll need to go to the intro section and see if you wrote an article about yourself there.  Nice to see you again, sir!

P.S. As our buddy James Taylor sings, many times “I am going to Carolina in my mind!”

I know what you mean Jung.

There is of course, a lot of great stuff out there both old and new, mainstream and indie.

While at work listening to music with my Mp3, I gravitate to the MonaLisa Twins and The Moody Blues time and again.  Of course, I love scores, if not hundreds, of other artists, as we have talked about in other threads, but for me, those two are the cream that rises to the top.

The vast majority of new “popular” stuff is lacking and is subject to greatly disappoint, eh?

  • Yes Howard, methinks this is the best of your 3 photos.  I am terrible at posting photos and my wife is not enamored that I put her in this one.  We have shied away from cameras for decades like a vampire from a crucifix.  It took me 2-3 months to even figure out how to put this one on Facebook.  I don’t own a phone that takes pictures and never will; too old school.

Ha ha; I thought the same as you about nicknames, but decided not to say anything.  For Ms. Hopper, I’ll go with PPJBJ for short, but need to write that down.  I think the final “J” has some kind of meaning, maybe short for her first name.

Thanks Lisa and Ricky!  There is so much of this website I have yet to explore; even the non-MLT CLUB part.  I could literally spend hours every day exploring this, except I do not dare do so.  Then it would be kind of like Facebook with me sitting all day and getting #fatternotfitter.

As you have seen Ricky, this week while I took off work, I have been dabbling with a limited version of “Facebook Lite.”  Nonetheless, https://test2.monalisa-twins.com is the very best place on the WWW, right?

Hi Ms. Jacki!  What again is your new preferred nickname?

    MonaLisa Twins Homepage

  • One more thing Howard, that I just noticed in another thread:  I like your new photo that shows more of your face.  What made you decide to switch?  IMHO, it appears kinder and gentler than the other one.  I too wear sunglasses when outdoors; as my baby blues are very sensitive to bright sunlight and even indoor overhead lights.

My photo here is the same one I have on Facebook; my wife Lenore and I in 2015, right after she returned home from her annual visit with her parents and siblings in CA.  Her father passed away this past spring at age 89.  He and Lenore’s mom were married for 69 years.  Lenore and I celebrated our 37th on my 68th birthday in November.

Ha ha; my photo on YouTube is a tad bit misleading!  It was shot in the summer of 1973 when I was just 22, had energy, was fit and trim, and was pretty; lol!  But since it was 7 years before I met my bride, I would not trade my life now to go back.  I am a much happier man now.  It seems like a million years ago, buddy!

  • Hi Howard; thanks again for your participation.  One clarification from me buddy, and I will ride off into the sunset in this thread.  My point was that it is not up to any singular one fan to make this place strong and active.  It is up to all of us together aka “strength in numbers.”

Thus my illustration of one cup out of a 55-gallon drum.  But if many of us left en masse, then a 10 gallon drop in the level of water would definitely be felt and noticed.

I think you and I agree on much more than we don’t agree on.  We are on the same team, and not opposing sides here.  Everyone here is a big MLT fan, and if not a true and loyal one, they will not stay.  Henceforth, let us truly enjoy this experience together, and focus on common ground and the positives.  I apologize if it seems I was dumping on your buddy.  Some of what was relayed struck me as odd.  I should just let some stuff go.

Right now another big MLT fan and I are contending with someone on YouTube that called MLT a “cover band.”  That is so untrue, and I had to challenge it.  But doing so is truly a waste of my time.  One likes to defend one’s friends though.

Now I have another question for Lisa, since the Advent season is over.  See you around, buddy!

  • Hi again Howard; always a pleasure!  Thanks for your further insights here.  A few final thoughts from me on this subject and then I shall move forward.

    1.  He may have been an admin in another fan club, but not here.  It is not up to any of us fans to be satisfied this club is strong.  That is entirely up to the Wagner family.  A person who thinks otherwise, is over-stepping his boundaries and might be a master of self-deception.

    2.  This is not just another fan club.  This is a forum, or place to dwell that belongs to the stars, and in which they are actively involved.  Plus, as you implied, it is just part of a hugely important and successful website.

    3.  We need controversy to keep interest going here?  I totally disagree with that!  This is a place of love and harmony as personified by Lisa and Mona and their parents.

    4.  People are free to come and go as they choose and there are a variety of reasons why they would do so.  There are no fences or walls here.  Nonetheless, when a person leaves it is like taking a cup of water out of a full 55-gallon drum.  The hole is quickly covered over and one would barely notice the ripple.

The bottom line is that some of the stuff he told you makes little sense to me.  I totally agree with what you told him, buddy.  If and when he comes back, I’ll be glad, and hopefully he and I can become friends.  Thanks!

Oops, sorry Ms. Jacki!  You know I cherish your friendship and would never intentionally step on your tippy toes!  😉  As it happened, I took off work this week, and happened to be sitting at my PC.  You’ll see I made comments in a couple other threads too.

But, I am thinking the new rules are that no one can reply to a fan question before Lisa or Mona does.  After that, I thought it is open to everyone?  I think I also read somewhere that they also won’t get involved in a “conversation” due to lack of time and the volume of mail here.

I have the same modus operandi that you do.  In my early days with MLT in the spring/summer/autumn of 2016, whenever I e-mailed them and they replied, I would sent another response back to them to show my appreciation.  Of course, at that point I never expected it to keep going as if it was like a tennis match.  If fact, at times I asked them not to feel obligated to reply to my first communique, as I knew how very busy they were.  I truly have loved and cherished my “fan face time” with them, as we all do.

Henceforth, I shall remember to give you first option to answer back.  Tomorrow evening shall be my Q #3 to Lisa, and on 1/18/19 my Q #4 to Mona.  I look forward to your participation!  What is your new self-imposed nickname again?  I forgot to write it down.

By the way, that was a great question you asked them!  I appreciate that you asked it in the form of a question.  After all, this is a Q&A forum, right?  Have a lovely and groovy Canadian week, Jacki!  🙂

“Memory of a goldfish!”  You crack me up, young Lisa!  And yes, I know you have a lot of experience with goldfish.  (see “Nothing Is In Vain.”)

Actually, that would be pretty good!  I’m amazed at what can be found on the Internet:

“Their brain power is at best shallow. Or so we thought. But scientists believe fish may have hidden depths. The creatures said to have a mere three-second memory span can actually recall information for up to five months.  Scientists found that fish trained to respond to certain sounds in captivity still reacted months later when they heard them in the wild.”

Wow; those are great questions Mike,  and equally great answers, Lisa!  Sometimes, we as fans forget that the stars on stage are also human and subject to the same frailties, fears, and anxieties as the rest of us.

I heard an illustration once that I love.  Here is the gist of it (not word-for-word):  Experienced public speakers (or performers) still get “butterflies.”  The main difference is that their butterflies are flying in formation!”  😉

One thing I have always loved about you and Mona, is that you are both so down-to-earth, grounded, and certainly human.  The “ORANGE” of the “Clockwork Orange” as it were.  Right?  <3

Thank you Mona!  That is so sweet of you and Lisa!!!  You do so much for us, your fans, and that truly endears you to us more and more.  I’m looking forward to learning all the WWT songs as well as the ORANGE songs.  Don’t be too big of a hurry to make your 3rd original album; this old man cannot keep up with you young folks; lol!

And since we have turned the page to 2019, please tell your twin that my Q #3 is coming to her tomorrow night.  Your Q #4 is coming on 1/18/19.  Have a really groovy day, my friend!  🙂

  • Hi Marián!

Thanks for chiming in here; great list!  I remember your name and face from my Intergalactic and Facebook days.  I don’t know that we have ever “met” however.  I always thought your sunglasses made you look like a pretty cool dude!

I’m in Omaha, NE USA.  Like our buddy Christomir, you are European, correct?  I’m guessing North-Central Europe maybe?  Holland?  Netherlands?  Germany?  My surname is Polish and in the Fatherland was spelled Tryba.  (pronounced Tree-bah)

I’ll need to Google some of your groups.  Christomir (Itso) has introduced me to a ton of great artists over the past two years.

If we can keep Jacki and Howard and a few others motivated here, we might be able to get this thread to 100 comments!!!  🙂

  • Thanks Howard; I hope your buddy is alright.  I read his bio and see that he had a very serious health issue.  I hope he is okay and did not suffer a relapse.

“He would withdraw after a few weeks when he was satisfied the Club was going to thrive?”  I don’t really understand that.  If it was not thriving, did he think he was going to “save it” or something?  He seemed to also be a huge MLT fan, so why would he not want to stay and continue to enjoy all of Mona’s and Lisa’s surprises with the rest of us?  Perhaps, he could not afford it and was embarrassed to say anything.  Many people throughout the globe are really strapped, as we know.

Hard to say, and maybe we shall never know the answers.  People will come and go here frequently, eh?  Nonetheless I wish him well, and he seemed to be a nice guy.  I’m sure he will continue to follow MLT, and hopefully we will see him again here.

In addition, did you ever find out what happened to our buddies, the Picasso Bros?

BTW, my question #3 addressed to Lisa is coming up in 8 days.  I already know what I shall ask her!  😉  TTYL, buddy!

Ha ha Jacki; you following me around?  Jacob posted over 2 months ago and suddenly 2 of us talk to him!  You know I’m j/k j/k, right?  Itso taught me that means “just kidding.”  See you around this groovy joint, eh?  🙂
