Always glad to see more MLT supporters here Hubert; so welcome from the USA, sir! They are terrific, aren’t they? Please share them with all your family and friends in France. What does nerixe mean? Is that your surname?

You might be Rick from Georgia, but I will always fondly remember you as Volunteer Tennessee Ricky!
(from MLT2 Michael aka Omaha Mike aka Cornhusker Mike)

I never guessed that vomit would be a topic here, but I guessed I did ask, eh?. I should have just Googled it; lol! Thanks for the illuminating details though! 😉
Glad you could hear Mona’s percussion sounds with her voice. Did it take headphones and lip-reading to do it?
Well, I best do other stuff today. I had an unexpected day off work today, and do not want to spend the entire day here and on FB. Later!

Member03/12/2018 at 19:49 in reply to: The Eurovision song contest…or, will MLT become the next ABBA?Totally agree, Ms. Jacki! Nuff said by me too on this thread after this comment. I would like to see Itso’s view here, but not necessarily to agree with mine.
I could also see MLT on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon or Late, Late Show with James Corden and especially on Carpool Karaoke with him. Did you ever see the half hour one with him and Paul McCartney in Liverpool? That was most excellent!!! 🙂
I like your peace sign as it indicates that peace and harmony should be the order of the day here, instead of debate so much. Thank you, dear lady! <3

Member03/12/2018 at 19:16 in reply to: The Eurovision song contest…or, will MLT become the next ABBA?Well Howard, you and Itso and Lior and Jung most likely know much more about Eurovision than I do. I’m just voicing my opinion here and opinions are just that; they are not facts. Everyone has one and we all have a right to ours. I do not mind disagreeing agreeably and Itso and I have often done that. But please keep in mind that we don’t always have to put a voice to what we disagree about. There is fake news and false facts, but opinions are just personal impressions. Make sense, buddy? 😉

Member03/12/2018 at 16:36 in reply to: The Eurovision song contest…or, will MLT become the next ABBA?Not certain why Jung thinks that Eurovision would be a “huge distraction.” It is not at all like “The Voice” or “American idol.” The contestants are the best of the best from all over Europe. To me, it is like the Olympics for musicians. Therefore I think that Lior’s ideas have a lot of merit, and I would cast my vote behind it. The thing that cracks me up, is that he compares them to ABBA. Evidently some of you blokes don’t know MLT’s opinion of ABBA or at least their music. But I’m not going to talk about that here, even though I would love to hear directly from one of them. This will not be one of my 26 questions. What I heard was second hand anyway.
The reason I paged Itso is because he watches Eurovision every year and is an expert about it. He and I and others have discussed the possibilities for MLT before. I can only watch Eurovision reruns on YT here in the States. But Itso is very busy and behind at work right now, and I do not wish to disturb him. He just got back from a trip to another Bulgarian city to be on a quiz show. Like you Howard, he is a pop-culture and history trivia expert. He wore an MLT t-shirt on the show one of the days. I don’t know the name of the show, but it will run for several days later in the Bulgaria language.
Even as we speak I am speaking with Itso and others about it on FB. It is a sports-related show. Itso knows all thing soccer, but also American NBA and MLB!

Howard, to me the “I Will” sound is more like a clucking or a human substitute for maracas or something. (I heard it at the :23 mark.) I don’t know though; I’m not a percussion expert, and thus my Q #2 to Mona. Personally, I’m a piano/keyboard guy.
How damaged is your hearing, buddy? (For some reason I survived The Who concert in the 7th row a few years ago with my hearing intact.)
A couple years ago I bought a great set of $100 headphones (I best not advertise brands here) and they really enhance music. For many songs it is like I am hearing them for the very first time.
Ha ha, you are like an MLT table of contents / index / encyclopedia rolled into one; lol!
So, what does “chunder” mean? Not plunder or thunder? Maybe my hearing is not that good after all!!! 😉

There are more coming, Ms. Jacki! Great to re-connect with you here in this grooviest of groovy places! I’ll try to get Itso and CPH in here more often.
BTW, how do you get emojis in here? I can’t figure it out from the above toolbar. Last night I asked Mona Q #2, so feel free to jump in there.

Love it Jung! It is my All-Time #10 Top MLT Original! For Itso, it is his #14.

Thanks so much for the illuminating details sir! Are you Mona and Lisa’s first cousin? (I guess I should check to see if you wrote an introduction here.) I take it you live in Austria? If I just saw your surname I might guess Czech or Polish, like my last name. When I first saw “The Wide, Wide Land” on YouTube it took me a couple months to not cry some during it. It is such a beautiful tribute and so emotionally moving. I have lost both parents and my older sister, so I well know the pain and heartache. My mom had a form of dementia in home hospice her last two years. A younger sister and her family lived with and took care of her and we were able to keep her out of a nursing home.
“The Wide Wide Land” is my All-Time #3 MLT song, behind only “Count On Me” and “All About Falling In Love.” It is the #1 MLT song of my buddy Christomir Rackov from Bulgaria. He has been an MLT fan for many years and has met them at a concert, in Vienna I believe. I found them on YouTube on 4/2/16, a red-letter day in my life. Great to “meet” you here, Meloman!

Great series of questions from Richard and thanks so much for your insightful replies, Mona. I am truly blown away by your papa Rudi’s mastery of the piano; the instrument I play and the one I love the most.

Lisa, I guess that since CREAM and WHITE ROOM is considered Prog-Rock, there is a hope some day for a cover from Peter’s fave band and/or my fave band?
Did you ever get a Round Tuit to enable you and Mona to watch the concert DVD’s I sent you in the FMF parcel 2 years ago? Were you ever intrigued enough to try one of the 20 songs in the sheet music book?
Do you know why I have never asked you to do a cover (although I am getting dangerously close to doing so here)?
It is mostly for the reasons you gave Alan. I know the BEST covers you do are for the songs you and Mona LOVE. In addition, you would not need me to ask you for which band I would die (or kill) for you to do a cover, because you already know, and you would also pick out the perfect song. Best leave it alone, because I would keel over on the spot and there would be no more MLT2 Mike! 😉
