I got to the see John perform in 1975 or 1976 at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center as the opening act for America. I remember he was excellent and actually stole the show, though America was enjoyable as well.

I can’t remember for sure what was the first 45 but the first album I ever bought was Holdon Im Comin by Sam and Dave.

That happened to me once, when I was a sound man for a band, on break had a drunk messing with the settings on the board, needless to say I wasnt happy at all about it. Had their butt tossed out, just could not believe someone would mess with that or someones instrument for that matter either.
