I hope I got the settings right now without breaking something else. Will watch it for a while but it should work now as intended in that all yearly members can now download immediately after subscribing.

We recently rebuilt some of our pages to make them load faster and something went wrong with that one by accident. As always, thanks for pointing it out!

Hi David,
We’re receiving your emails about not hearing back from us but we have replied to several of them throughout the last two weeks and tried sending them from different email addresses, shop@monalisa-twins.com and monalisa@monalisa-twins.com.
We are not quite sure why they are not getting to you. You mentioned that they don’t show up in your spam folder so the only reason we can think of is that perhaps the email addresses are blacklisted from your provider. Perhaps you have marked a past email as “spam” which banned them indefinitely? Could you please check in your email provider?
Are you receiving the weekly MLT Club Wire emails from us?
Either way, we have sent off a replacement parcel (alongside some extra items to make up for the mistake) back on the 9th of March so hopefully it will arrive soon. We really apologise for mixing up the CD with the DVD!
All the best,
Team MLT

Hi Dave!
First of all, we are very sorry that it took us so long to respond to you here. We had sent you an email but it seems it hadn’t gone through. Could you please check your spam folder or white-list the email address shop@monalisa-twins.com and we will try again!
All the best,
Team MLT

Thanks John,
You’re making me blush over here.
I am glad you like my guitar playing, but believe me when I say there is a lot I wouldn’t even attempt, knowing my limits. 😉I can’t let it rip like Hendrix, play finger-style like Tommy Emmanuel, get a rich tone like SRV, pick as fast as Steve Vai or play the blues like B. B. King. But my guitar journey was never really focussed on “virtuous” playing or mastering one specific style or technique, but rather acquiring the skills to serve whatever songs we were playing and writing. And our favourite songs to cover usually don’t involve any crazy shredding or super virtuous guitar picking, as that isn’t really part of the music we like most.
Saying that, one of my favourite Beatles tunes is “And Your Bird Can Sing” which starts off with a rather crazy guitar line. I’ve never tried playing it but I think that that would give me a bit of a hard time, especially in the beginning. But I want to take on the challenge one day 🙂
Thanks!

Hi John,
Only twice when we filmed that last scene, but that wasn’t by accident 😉
We popped it a few times though, especially on the last day as the whole area there is covered in Gorse bushes which are very thorny. We brought plenty of spare balloons and a helium canister with us on that mountain, so while Lisa and Dad were filming with the drone it was my job to always have a spare one ready.
Hope you’re having a good day! ????

Hi Tim,
Michael J. T. asked the dreaming question a while ago, and this was Lisa’s response which stands for me as well: https://test2.monalisa-twins.com/forums/topic/languages/
And have any of our dreams come true? Honestly, I consider my whole life to be a dream come true as sickeningly cheesy as that sounds.
Had you told my teenage self that I would be replying to messages in something called the “MLT Club” while working on our 11th album and releasing independent videos and music to people around the world I would have lost it.
Not everything is always perfect or rosy but my dreams are usually extremely strange too, so even that checks out. ????
Thanks!

Hi Deidre,
We have just added the singles to the Download Hub! (at the bottom)
The songs that have been pre-released in the MLT Club but aren’t “officially” out yet will not be included (Like Janitor Joe, Good Morning Starshine etc.) but they only make up a small number.
And yes, ideally all of the songs will be available on an album eventually, that’s definitely the plan. We are prioritising our next original release for now, so some of the covers are currently homeless and just exist as one-off singles but they will all get a home eventually 🙂
Thanks for the kind message!

Hi Tom,
First of all, sorry for only now getting back to this. We’re switching to Video Q&A Sessions instead of the written Forum answers but are making our way through all the December questions we never got around to answering.
We really appreciate the message of support and believe us when we say that we too have watched the Austrian development in horror. We’re glad we’re not living there at the moment and salute everyone that’s speaking up.
Thanks Tom!

Oh, thanks Diana ????
I wish I could send you some links but unfortunately the blouse thingy I am wearing doesn’t even have tags in anymore. It’s actually Michaela’s and she said that she’s had it for years and unfortunately doesn’t even remember the shop she bought it from. I did a reverse google image search and the closest I could find was this little romper here: https://www.shoptiques.com/products/sea_gypsies_by_lost-moody-blues-romper
But that’s a romper, not a top so I’m not sure if that’s much of interest to you, especially for that price 🙁
I then put on a jeans vest on top. Again, I tried to find something similar online, but I can’t find one that you can tie together in the front like mine for the life of me. Maybe I am using the wrong search terms?? But any ol’ jeans vest would look good with it I reckon 🙂
We love thrifting and looking for unique pieces so it’s sometimes hard to point you to places you can get something similar! Sorry I couldn’t be of much help this time!

Hi Roger,
Oh thanks, I am so glad you noticed and liked the artwork. It was a quick watercolour painting I did as we needed a fitting backdrop for the lyrics page.
I wanted it to feel like you’re looking out the window after a bit of summer rain 🙂 I used some liquid masking tape to block out the raindrops, painted the background, peeled off the masking tape and filled in the drops. It was a really quick but fun project. I remember sitting at the kitchen table, Mona was drawing something else (we both can’t remember what) and Michaela also joined us for a bit. We were all drinking tea.
Your question brought back a fond memory, thanks for that 😉

Hi Deidre,
We’re definitely aware of them and of how great of a job they are doing covering the Beatles.
Usually, we’re not seeking out Beatles cover bands (maybe because we’ve already listened to what must have been hundreds during our time in the Cavern Club) but we have nothing but respect for great musicians like them that love the Beatles as much as we do 🙂

Hi Gert!
First of all, I want to say how cool I think it is that you’re teaching your students “Count On Me”. That makes me smile from ear to ear 🙂
And yes, the Boxer picking pattern definitely works. I believe I played it a little differently on the Duo Session version than I did on the album track, but any of the typical folky pickings would work. Sometimes even I forget and change it up 😉 .
Happy picking and please say “hi” to your students from us!

Wow, thank you so much, Brian ♥
I think generally speaking, we’re both quite optimistic people, sometimes to a fault. But it is thanks to that and thanks to having each other, our family and to being generally really happy with what we’re doing in our lives, that we don’t get down too often, I think.
That being said, this is also the internet, and most of what we’re sharing about our lives are the positive and interesting things that are going on. Things that we feel others would enjoy seeing. And our music, of course.
But just like anybody else, we have our own battles, demons and faults and not everything is always “coming up roses” 😉 But then again, that’s just part of being a human being and just like anybody else, we’re trying to make it through this weird time as best as we can.
We’re lucky to have family and people around us that keep us grounded, that make us feel loved and appreciated, and we know just how lucky we are to have that, when many people don’t. The amazing community here helps a lot, too. Feeling like what we do matters really does help us get through the tougher bits in life. So thank you for being part of that ♥

Hi Jay,
Thanks for posting your first question! This is probably the question we get asked the most and as much as we’d love to give a definite answer, all we can really say at the moment is that we don’t have any travel plans at all.
We’d love to travel more again, especially to the States but touring in the current situation is anything but fun, unfortunately. So we’d rather focus on things in the studio and work on new videos for now.
One day we’ll be back!
Lisa
