At the moment I mainly dream in German but if, in my dream, I’m having a conversation with someone who I know would speak English in real life, I would also speak English in the dream. The “narrating voice” is mainly German but I have noticed that it also depends on what language I use most during the day.
While we were on tour for example, and speaking mainly English for a few weeks, my narrating dream voice would switch to English more often than not. Funny how the subconscious keeps babbling on in whatever language we were using during the day 🙂

Hi Tomás!
Dreaming fascinates me so much. It is such a mysterious and intriguing part of the human experience. Wouldn’t it be lovely to just wake up with the next “Yesterday” floating around in your head?
The best I could do so far was wake up to a note on my phone that read “Klammhatsche” … Apparently that’s the name of an eel-like animal I dreamed about. I dimly remember waking up in the early hours of the morning and typing that word into my phone so that later on I could check if I was making up words or if a “Klammhatsche” is an actual thing. Turns out I am discovering brand new animals in my dream adventures 🙂
Unfortunately, no chart toppers as of yet …

Hi Ian!
We didn’t really look alike enough to successfully pull off any twin pranks, but we did look alike enough for teachers to mix us up a lot. That’s why, when you are a twin in high school, you start answering to both your own and your twin’s name 🙂
I once somehow passed a bad “general conduct grade” on to Mona, despite her definitely having been in better standing with the teacher that graded her than me.
It was our geography teacher who really didn’t like me (the feeling was mutual) yet she must have mixed us up when filling out the report cards.
I tried to point out that I was the one she was hating but it was too late by then …At least I got a clean record now 😉

HAPPY BIRTHDAY from Lisa and me again!! Did you receive our little surprise in your inbox on Sunday? 🙂

WELCOME Jeff! Lisa here, thanks for introducing yourself 🙂 As it’s already been mentioned here, we have done 2 Kinks covers in the past.
Tired Of Waiting (an MLT Club exclusive): https://test2.monalisa-twins.com/tired-of-waiting-duo-session/
And “You Really Got Me” which we released on our “Play Beatles & more VOL 3” album: https://test2.monalisa-twins.com/mlt-club-jukebox/
Speaking of the Kinks, Ray’s girlfriend got in touch recently saying that she’s going to play him our covers and that she’ll try to get him up to Liverpool with her soon. We thought that was pretty cool 🙂

Hi Louis,
I just answered a similar question here so I hope you don’t mind me referring you to that post. In short – we’d love to, but it probably won’t happen this year!
Thank you ♥ -

Administrator17/02/2020 at 22:29 in reply to: Any plans to tour after the new record?Hi Paul!
We honestly can’t say yet. We’d truly love to tour the States but if we do it, we want to do it properly. It’s difficult to make a tour like that viable, especially for Europeans. It requires a lot of planning, money, promotions, visas, equipment, time, etc. But of course we miss live playing, and we will definitely get back on stage eventually! -
Hi Brian, I was going to write that we never used open tunings in our own music when I suddenly thought back of recording “Waiting For The Waiter”. Of course! I can’t remember what tuning I used exactly but I definitely tuned my Dobro to an open chord when doing all the slide parts. But I’m pretty sure that’s the only time we used it on a record so far.
We’ve played around with open tuning when we learned some fingerstyle pieces over the years, especially back in highschool. It’s fun, it’s satisfying, things sound great 😉 When it comes to songwriting I am normally a big fan of modulating keys which is a bit trickier with open tunings but that doesn’t mean that I won’t give writing with it a go sometime.
I like what you said about it being helpful in a writer’s block. I agree, playing around with things you’re not used to, changing up the tuning, the instrument, etc … great ways to get new ideas and break out of a rut.

Hi Brian!
We love sibling harmonies as much as you do and acts like the Every Brothers, Andrews Sisters and the Beach Boys have been a big inspiration and great teachers throughout the years.
Harmonies have always been and will always be a huge component of what we do but we don’t shy away from solo vocals, if it fits the song. Looking back to our Cavern Club setlist for example, there are quite a few tracks that have very little harmonies in it, and either Lisa or I would take over the lead vocals. We would always be on the same stage and play together though.
Our own music, as well as the songs and bands we love the most, almost always use at least a small amount of harmonies so it is rare that we would ever pick something with absolutely zero other vocals. If it sounds better with some “ooohs” in the background, how could we resist! 😉
As you say, it’s fun singing with other people, especially those you love the most and I consider myself extremely lucky to have a singing partner and such a great friend in my own sister.
It’s great to hear that you could share that same experience with your brother!

Hello Brett!
Sorry that it took us a while to say hi but … hi!!! 🙂
Ever since we visited Australia in 2009 we fell in love with your country and are always thrilled to welcome new Aussies to the Club. Our heart was bleeding for all the wildlife and even human lives that were lost during the fires in the last few weeks and we are so relieved that things seem to have calmed down a bit.
We say a big Thank You for the kind words on our music, too! At the moment we are not playing any live shows but as soon as we start gigging again we’ll let you know through the newsletter, Club, Social Media pages etc. Would be great to see you at a show!
Keep playing and stay groovy!
