    Hi Dale,

We very much forgot about this photoshoot, maybe because we purely did it for the reason of making a fun website header. But you’re right, we’ve never shared any of the pictures from it, not even here in the Club or on Social Media.

We’ll have a look at the single frames again, maybe we can put together a little Tuesday post (no promises though). 🙂

    All the best ✌️

Ohhhh, that warms our hearts! Your mom sounds like a lot of fun!

We haven’t seen Mike since before the lockdowns but we’re keeping in touch. He was one of the first 5 people we met once we set foot in Liverpool all those years ago, and we’ll always remember and be grateful for how welcome he made us feel.

Which unfortunately isn’t represented by our vinyl collection, as I don’t think we own any The Scaffold records :-O We’ll have to change that eventually!

    Hi Joe,

Thanks for saying hi! It’s lovely to finally “meet” you after your first couple of months here in the MLT Club. We appreciate your support! 🙂

It’s unfortunate that you missed us at the Cavern Club during your last UK trip, but we hope you’ll get another chance to see us live one day! We still don’t have any solid plans for when we’ll hit the stage again but if we ever set anything up the MLT Club members will be the very first to know!

Our dad actually graduated from aeronautical engineering school (he thought of becoming a pilot before he made the switch to building his own recording studio 🙂 ) so naturally we grew up with planes/aviation always being a big topic in our lives (here’s an example 😉). We are glad you retired at a time where things were still functioning, and are sure you must feel for your colleagues who are currently struggling! Thanks for sharing part of your story with us, sounds like you have led a very exciting life so far!

Thanks for being here and for being groovy,
    Mona & Lisa

    Hi John,

That’s an interesting topic, we’re glad to hear that you’d like to hear more background info to our original songs and the inspiration behind them.

We’ve never really done a song-by-song breakdown for our albums but we did a little Q&A video about the “When We’re Together” video just a few weeks ago, which you can check out here.

We’d love to do the same for ORANGE and of course our upcoming 3rd original album.

We’ll see what we can put together about it in terms of Club content and will keep your suggestion in mind. ✌️

26/10/2021 at 23:24 in reply to: Ever met Paul or Ringo

Hi Detlef, thanks for the question and welcome to the Club!

Unfortunately we have only ever seen Paul and Ringo “live” when seeing them in concert and haven’t had any direct contact so far.

We have known Paul’s brother – Mike McCartney – for some years now but aren’t sure if that means that Paul knows what we’re doing. Paul’s ex publicity chief told us he invited him to one of our shows but god knows if that was actually true.

Olivia and Dhani seem to manage George Harrison’s social media pages, on which they have already shared one of our videos, so we think they’re aware of us and Sean Lennon knows us too, so does John’s half sister Julia. 🙂

A friend of Ringo has already shown him our videos and allegedly got good feedback on them.
All that being said – we haven’t met either of the two personally, but who knows, maybe one day we will. Of course we would be thrilled!

    German Translation:

    Hi Detlef,

    Hi John,

There isn’t a release date yet but rest assured that the MLT Club members will be the first to hear it once we are able to set one. Sorry to keep you waiting but things seem to always take a little longer than we initially anticipated. We want to make this record the best it can be so we don’t want to sacrifice anything for a quicker release. We’ll continue to pre-release a few more singles to the MT Club in the time to come though. 🙂

    Hi John,

No need to thank us, we really enjoy answering everyone’s questions here as much as we can and like the discussions that spring up around our replies – that’s great to see 🙂

    To answer your question:

When playing live we usually jammed a bit of “This Boy Is Mine” or the Beatles’ “This Boy” to warm up on stage and set the sound levels (Coincidentally 2 sounds with a very similar title – something I am only now noticing ????). We never really “agreed” on that, it sort of just became a tradition because between the two songs, we’d cover all instruments & vocal mics.

Before jumping into a studio recording session, we usually just do some light vocal exercises before recording any voices. Or simply sing/play through the song we’re working on a few times, so we’re all loosened up and ready to jump into the project. But there isn’t any real “protocol” or “ritual” we have. 🙂

    Thanks!

26/10/2021 at 23:19 in reply to: What is your favourite pop/rock music film? Why?

Oh, that’s a good question. Of course, all the Beatles movies, especially “A Hard Day’s Night’ hold such a special place in our hearts ♥ We were obsessed with them in our teenage years! 😉

We also love “Across The Universe” which is a beautiful romantic drama based on Beatles songs that to us is such a beautiful piece of art.

Quadrophenia and School Of Rock are two other films we loved growing up with. We also thought the recent movie “Yesterday” was a really adorable, fun project that stuck with us for quite a while.

I guess we can’t really pick a favourite, they all have different things going for them, plus we’re not big movie buffs, so there are a lot of “classic” music movies that we still haven’t seen.

    Hello Rick!

Oh the infamous instrument swap in “Hey Bulldog” 😉

I’m not sure if we ever recorded that on video properly. I do remember seeing clips of it somewhere but I think those were taken by an audience member (with their phone).

We might have filmed it on camera sometime, but at the moment we have so many other projects that we won’t really have the time to look through the archives. Unfortunately.

If we ever find anything of decent video quality, we’ll consider posting it. 🙂

We wish we did that! But we didn’t know of Melanie’s song yet during our short-lived roller-skating career from the age of ~ 6-10 ;-D
We only got into her music later down the line but “Brand New Key” is definitely one of our favourites by her now ♥

    Hi Bill, Hi Maddie!

It looks like we’re a little bit behind you guys 🙂

The leaves have only just started to change now and we’ll give it another 2 weeks before we will see the maximum autumn colour spectacle. But it’s one of the prettiest seasons around here, especially if you get out of town. Too bad that it also means that the temperatures are dropping and that winter is coming, brrr …

Unfortunately, the beautiful autumn scenery is normally rather short-lived here as the usual UK rainy weather likes to quickly turn the colourful leaves into brown mush 🙁

But we’re so glad that Maddie gets to enjoy the season and play in the leaves. We just googled “Pittsburgh fall season” and the photos that came up looked absolutely gorgeous.

    Enjoy the sweater weather ♥

19/10/2021 at 00:57 in reply to: What gives???

That is very flattering, thanks Tim!

We don’t really choose our projects/profession based on what we think we would be necessarily “good” at though, if that makes any sense.

So, if we felt a desire to act or model we would follow that whether we thought we had “the looks” for it or not. If we ever wanted to get into film/movie work we would do it because we felt passionate about the specific film project or script, and it’s something we might still explore in the future.

Luckily, we have lots of opportunity to play around with visual ideas in our own music videos and vlog-type content, and we would much rather focus on that than use our time to work for other people or products that we don’t feel connected to.
That’s how we see it, anyway 🙂

We LOVE what we do and spend most hours of the day building our own vision and music. To do something else just so we get the most out of our physical appearance while we are still young would feel silly to us.

    Thanks for the question though!

    Hi John!
It would be fun to do another Byrds cover eventually, making use of our 12-string Rickenbacker. We’ve considered it for past Duo Sessions but so far it hasn’t made the cut yet 😉 I’m sure we’ll think about it again in the future! “I’ll Feel A Whole Lot Better” would be a good candidate!

    Hi Brad!

When we first got into vinyl a few years ago, The Guess Who’s “American Woman” was amongst the first records we picked up at a charity shop! They are a great band and we just listened to “Bus Rider” for the first time. That was a fun trip, we loved the guitar licks! I also know what the soundtrack for the rest of my day will be now … 😉

We are grateful for your support this past year and completely understand your decision not to renew if you don’t have the time to make use of the MLT Club 🙂 You will of course be welcomed with open arms if you ever decide to pop back in. You can always just join for a month here and there if you’d like to catch up with what’s happening from time to time. Whatever works for you!

Thanks for the kind words to all of us, we send you all the best!

Mona & Lisa (and Michaela, Rudi & Anna :-))
