Hi Jung. I do agree with you that ‘Why’ is a masterpiece. Musically and lyrically out there amongst the best ever. It speaks for so many of us that are wondering what on earth is going on in the world at this time and commenting as the great art works do. I don’t understand what success is in music anymore but if I ask people I know, they won’t know who the MLT are. There is so much bilge and drivel out there that it swamps the creative. We preach to the converted here, but the masses are missing it. I believe as you do that nobody is producing this quality of work today. Great works are often recognised in retrospect and I hope ‘Why’ does too. It deserves it certainly

Thank you for this Leif. Suzi is an household name here in the UK through her 1970’s hits and subsequent radio work. It’s hard to believe she’s 73 years old. She’s still very bubbly and full of energy. A trailblazer in women’s rock music and very influential to many women following in her wake. Cheers

Lovely. Good creative work. The writing can lead down many paths so the reader is drawn into their own interpretation. Thank you

Always loved this song. A great tune and lyrically with lines like “In the paper today, Tales of war and of waste, But you turn right over to the TV page” and “When the world comes in, They come, they come, To build a wall between us, We know they won’t win” Thank you for putting this on

I joined end of last year and really feel at home here. What is nice is that you can say or express an opinion and not feel as you are going to be attacked or made to feel small as seems to be the case these days. Basically every one is nice and respectful and that is lovely. As for being a 1% I hope I am, as being ‘a Lurker’ doesn’t sound very nice! Thank you all

They have been in and out of fashion so many times. Isn’t it wonderful they are finally receiving the recognition they deserve? Would have loved to be at the RAH but Wolverhampton next week will do Very happy 🙂

Paul M’s first song was called ‘I lost my little girl’ at around the same age. I don’t think I am being controversial to say that ‘Alone’ is much better! 🙂

Hi Jung. I’d not heard this for a long time till you put this on. Never taken much notice of it but oh my word does it ring true now. The power of music to capture feelings. Growing up our parents are always there, we take no notice, they live forever but actually they don’t. This song reduced this supposed ‘strong northern guy’ to bits. It is where I am and have been for the last 17 years but I put a brave face on it. You put this on because you feel the same. Thanks Jung, indeed this is the power of music…..

Oh my word. Everything I own. This could be about my parents. Every word hits home. I miss them so much, this says what I want if only I could. Not a day goes by when I don’t think and miss them. There’s a big hole in my life. Thank you Jung. You really got me with this one. The power of music you’ve nailed it my man….

Wow what a week you had! I’m going to see Sparks in a couple of weeks at Wolverhampton. Not sure about the new album though. What do you think? Did Russell say that they never expected to play the Albert Hall because “that’s where the big groups play”? 🙂

Totally agree with you when you meet well known people. I met Cherie Currie a few weeks ago at a gig and was tongue tied at first, but she is so nice and down to earth she made me feel comfortable. A really nice person and just like us, though I dare say not all are like that….

    Hi Chris

Another one that springs to mind around the same time as Suzi was ‘Sparks’. Most people seemed to think they were British but they come from LA as you probably know. Still going strong. If you like a song with a message that is very funny please check out the video “Nothing is as good as they say it is” from their latest album 😃
