I can’t overlook this guy either. I like these videos of the Twins first live band with Michael Mozeth and Phillip Wolf. They really drive the beat of these great rock and roll songs. Michael seems to be in his own zone there, fun to watch and listen to. I hope he is doing well and still playing.

I went through a rockabilly phase a couple years ago and really enjoy the simple lineup of a 3 piece band playing rock n roll. I enjoy the classic ones like Carl Perkins, Eddie Cochran and even Elvis when he started out. I found that rockabilly is still a big thing in the states as well as Europe. I even found a few new bands that I really liked. I especially like the bands that feature a girl playing the big double bass. Here’s another band I really like called Relax Trio. They are out of Finland and write original rockabilly music. The bassist is named Linda Teranen. I really enjoy their music, I hope you guys do to. https://youtu.be/cl9LQmekw78?feature=shared

Jung, here’s one I am posting for fun. I discovered this rockabilly group a couple of years ago on You Tube. They are a young couple from Wales that learned from their elders who had a band called Black Cat Trio. The drummer from that band is playing here with the kids. I just wanted to highlight young Donna Meszar on the double bass. She is a good singer and a fine bass player and her partner Paul Wilmott is a pretty good guitar player. Hope you all enjoy The Discoveries.

I don’t even know what a nonce is, Lol. Also unable to give any comments an upvote. Just for the record I love the song, the video and the outfits, especially Mona’s bibs. I’ll keep trying and listen to the song while I’m doing it so it’s not that bad of a problem. Have a great weekend everyone.

I think it would take some $ to make it happen. Probably depends on what you are looking for, Two girls and two acoustic guitars or a four piece band with great sound. May want to post the idea to the various MLT fan clubs as there are thousands of members there. It’s only a 4 hour drive for me so I would definitely be there. I know it would sound great in a small auditorium. Good luck John.

Hi Chris, I have a couple of their Cds and it’s the only time I’ve had to use the language translator function to order an album. When I got the first Cd it was wrapped in a Finnish newspaper so I kept the newspaper too. They have a lot of great tunes. On this one I love Linda’s little smile at 1:36 when she does the little tapping run on the bass. I think she is saying “yep, I can do that”, Lol.

They were my favorite band until I found Mona and Lisa.

Good one David, I always loved Tommy James and the Shondells. They are quite overlooked but had a lot of great songs and obviously influenced a lot of bands to come later.

Yeah Jung, The Beach Boys had some great bass lines through all of their songs, probably because they had a genius composer playing bass, kind of like The Beatles. Here’s one of my favorites and I think the best version of a good old Chuck Berry Song. https://youtu.be/xzyLAfOGc4U?feature=shared

That’s one of the coolest basslines ever. Just heard it yesterday on the radio in my pickup truck. My truck doesn’t have a cd player otherwise I would have been listening to Mona and Lisa.

Yeah Chris, Jung and Jurgen, they have a lot of good songs on YouTube including some with Donna playing and learning from her relatives rockabilly band The Black Cat Trio. I do have one cd that Donna and Paul produced that is really good. I did hear they got married and haven’t seen any new stuff from them in a while. I hope they continue to play music.

Yes David, that’s exactly how I was thinking. A one time show or if it works out, maybe a yearly thing. Ok that’s getting ahead of things but I think it could work. I’m sure it would be very costly to bring a full band over for one show but I would be happy with just Mona and Lisa doing some live Duo Sessions in a small auditorium. Maybe Rudi would bring his bass and a keyboard and Michaela bring a sax and well, okay I’m just dreaming out loud. Maybe summertime or spring break would work better for the teachers in the club. I just hope it happens at some point.

Hi John, I’m just thinking out loud here but if you sold 900 seats at say $100 per ticket, that’s a pretty good chunk of change. Maybe charge a little more for VIP or backstage access. I am happy to watch them in the Club for $13 a month but I sure would love to hear them live and getting to meet them would be a dream come true. It sounds exciting, good luck John.

Hi Chris, You are probably right about one twin eating more in the womb. A litter of puppies always has a runt. I assumed it was just because it was smaller and weaker due to genetics and therefore got pushed away from the food source after birth but it probably started before hand in the womb.
