Getting the 45 for “Now and Then” made me think of it. There’s something to holding a 45 vinyl in your hands, feels like a “portkey” to the 60s.

I see “Drive My Car” broke the 7 million mark!

David, thank you for keeping up with this, I’ve kept an eye on it, and it seems that the overall numbers are going up? Also, does it seem that She Loves You is regaining some of the momentum it lost when the account was hacked?
I’m not doing charts, so it’s just my impression, so I could ne wrong.
Thanks!

It was fantastic! I so enjoyed all of it, couldn’t help but be glued to the stream.

Sad to see he’s passed. I’m glad he got his due in his lifetime. 🙏

David, I enjoy seeing your stats, thank you for taking the time.
I’m always looking at them trying to spot trends, especially unexpected ones. I think it’s not just what people might look at, which is a great part obviously, but also what YouTube will show them. I don’t think there’s “one” algorithm, but a bunch of rules, that either boost the video or pull it back, like a rating of what to show. One rule is if it has a lot of views show it more, people like it. Does the account post videos regularly. This last move of uploading a video every week, might have triggered something like that, because the numbers have gone up substantially.
I don’t know, just looking and wondering.
Thank you for the stats!

I just noticed “This Boy Is Mine” is now the most viewed original. “That’s Life” had been the top original for a very long time.

And While My Guitar Gently Weeps gets 6 Million views! 🎉🍾

There’s no way of doing that live, even if you had the fastest of internet and the latency is just a fraction of a second, it’s still enough to keep every off the beat. Even if you had a click track, the latency varies, so it’s not possible for all to be in sync. They all recorded separately and then edited it together. I suspect they email the audio tracks to each other and build it like you would at a studio when artists come in separately to do their parts. Once the song is mixed and done, they all record themselves lip-synching/mimicking to the final audio track. There’s a lot going on with the synth, including finger snaps, etc. so it’s impossible to film an accurate representation. You can pretend there’s someone off camera changing the patches as the song progresses. 😉
However, it’s them playing in the recording and I’m astounded at the vocals, I’ve never heard anyone sound so close to Freddy. Freddy was so unique, it’s mind-blowing. I heard Marc Martel (doing Freddy) did the voice of Freddy for the Queen movie Bohemian Rhapsody.

Hey Dave, I found these frames on Amazon that work perfectly for me.

These were my reading this morning (Eastern US time)
195273 1:40 am
195859 2:00am
196121 2:05 am
197008 2:30 am
199850 6:00 am
199854 6:05 am
You can calculate that at around 2 am it was doing between 30 and 50 views per minute and by 6 am it was down to about 1, and that was probably just all me refreshing.
Happy it hit 200,000 so quickly!!

At this rate it will hit 200K by 11 am UK time. 😱

I think there are several, at least for the video. At the beginning (0:18) that looks like a Moog, but later at 3:35 there seems to be a Keyboard sitting on top of a Hammond, but it’s hard to see.

Hi Jung, I agree, the video checks all the boxes. It’s a really high quality performance with high energy, a great twist to lift it up by switching to Wipeout. I think I mentioned in some other post, that I shared this with the teenage daughter of a friend and she was mesmerized, watched it back to back a few times.
