Hi Joël and welcome from New York! You’re going to love it here!
-
Here’s one I’d LOVE Mona & Lisa to cover someday, “Better Things” by the Kinks!

Yes indeed! Everyone do your best to stay safe from this nasty “bug”. Especially us older folks with underlying medical conditions. I know I want to be around a lot longer to enjoy team MLT! Stay healthy all!

Ahhh yes the Seekers! Judith had an incredible voice! “I’ll never find another you” is a favorite of mine from them! If I recall Paul Simon gave away Red Rubber Ball and didn’t think it was that good. They say he was surprised it became a hit. Happy but surprised.

LOL! I guess you’re right. I was thinking more along the lines of Paul Simon being the one and only. But I think most of us can relate to the songs lyrics. By the way, John Lennon is the one that suggested the spelling of the band’s name. AND they open for The Beatles I believe on that last show they ever played live in America.

Resurrecting this thread because one song just popped into my head that I always loved, The Cyrkle’s “Red Rubber Ball”! I can hear the girls singing this one in my head right now! This needs to be done! Short and sweet tune which should be a piece of cake for them. Written by the one and only Paul Simon and Bruce Woodley.

The album and videos are fantastic! I get such a kick out of watching Mona play “Twist and shout”! And Rudi & Michaela of course show off their great talents as well! Wonderful stuff!

Today playing along with MLT’s “June”! Just the rhythm parts, I’m no Lisa Wagner on the guitar!

I stumbled upon MLT while Youtubeing one day almost 2 years ago. They immediately blew my mind! I was hooked instantly! I don’t know how I didn’t see their videos sooner. I’m always watching Beatles videos. Even after all these decades.
I was just starting to come down with health issues a month after I turned 60. They have really helped me pull through the last nearly 2 years. I couldn’t thank them enough. Watching all their videos then getting all their music really brightened me up! Even though I was a drummer originally I was also interested in guitar. I had an old 1970 something Sigma acoustic guitar with action so high you could drive a car under the strings so I bought myself a new one, A Fender. I already had a Telecaster (I’m more of an electric guy but mess around on an acoustic once in a while), I’m no where near as good as these beauties but I can bang out some tunes! I can’t pick to save my butt though unless it’s real slow stuff. I’m more of a rhythm player.
MLT inspires!

CDs changed things completely when people started copying them. That was the start of bands getting mad at bootlegging music. Today groups hesitate releasing anything because they’re just not selling like the good old days. I miss the album artwork as well as the music. I still like buying albums and CDs. So much has changed since the 60’s/70’s. And not all for the good IMHO.

Well if you don’t ever come here to America then hopefully you will at least film and release videos of your gigs over in Europe so we can enjoy those. If I was younger and healthier I would come over there to see you in a heartbeat. I always wanted to go to England. Especially Liverpool.

WOW, What a wonderful thing to do! Well done! I know in the past almost 2 years these girls have helped me through a few rough patches as well. The magic of music is REAL.

Such a sweet guitar, I’d love to get one some day.
