The Big Move
2014 has possibly been one of the most pivotal years of our musical careers. It was the year when we set out for a trip to Ireland and ended up in Liverpool two weeks later, with the keys to a new home in our hands.
Moving from Austria to the UK was always in the cards for us but the way one thing had led to another, completely unplanned yet in such a “right” way, still feels like a bit of a miracle to us. Not saying that everything went smoothly (we’re talking about exploding car engines, troubles with the wrong business people and all sorts of hiccups popping up on both the Austria and Liverpool front) but we’re still certain that we made the right decision at the right time. And when we say “we”, we mean we as a family, with our parents making the courageous and trusting decision to pack up everything including our studio and move to a new country. That’s when we became the “Scoustrians” 🙂
Here you’ll find plenty of images with the first quarter of them being taken back in our old home country, and the rest of them in what we call home these days, 1 thousand miles up north, in Liverpool. We started performing in Liverpool and have been steadily growing our presence in the UK music scene. We will never forget our first UK radio appearances, our first show at the Cavern Club, our first experiences with Sunday Roasts and the Liverpudlian dry humor.
We also still remember the excitement in our fan community back then. The number of people following our musical journey online was a lot smaller back then, but nevertheless we could definitely feel their buzz and support. Their anticipation of what was to come made us feel really cared about and we were even more encouraged to seize the moment and dream bigger and bigger. Many of the people who followed us back then still do so, and they will probably agree about what a significant year 2014 was in shaping our musical journey. Thanks for being part of the journey!
