Scotland Camping Trip – Photos

Back at the start of May 2023 we took a short camping trip with a friend. We brought along a camera and turned the adventure into a little vlog which we posted a while ago. You can watch it here in the MLT Club!

Of course, we also took a lot of photos and it’s taken us a while to get around to sorting through them and getting them ready to share! We love documenting our various trips with photo posts here in the MLT club, even if just for the selfish reason that we can look at the photo archive at the end of the year and reminisce about all the good times and adventures we got up to! 🙂

So, we hope you enjoy today’s photos all taken during our first ever time in Scotland. Featuring: The Lake District (North West England), Loch Lomond (Scotland) and of course the beautiful city of Edinburgh!

Stay groovy,
Mona & Lisa

Shropshire Hills Hike – Photos

As the weather is getting warmer, we are starting to plan some more hikes, camping trips and outdoor adventures. It’s our favourite way to unwind and recharge, especially if it’s together with the whole MLT gang 🙂

Here are some pictures of when we all went for a walk/hike in the Shropshire Hills last summer. The perfect little summer trip and something we cannot wait to do again this year. We thought you might like to come along for the adventure through some of the photos we took along the way.

A beautiful part of the UK 🌞

Stay groovy,
Mona & Lisa

‘Make Show’ Video Shoot – Photos

When we released WHY? towards the end of last year, we also posted the music video for “Make Show” on the same day. Most of you have probably seen it. (re-watch it here)

We just got around to sorting through the photos taken during those filming days and decided to collect our favourites in a post here. We made a behind-the-scenes video a few weeks ago too and just re-watched it – It reminded us that we still need to cut together the part 2 video that we promised in it!

We never run out of things to do ’round here! 😉

“Make Show” was a video unlike any other we’ve ever done and we loved experimenting with light/shadow and black/white in a completely new way. Also, we love dressing up so the getting ready alone was a good time!

Stay groovy,
Mona & Lisa

Hiking through North Wales – Photos

Up the mountain we go …

Whenever we need a bit of a break and want to spend it as a family, we all love to hop in the car and escape into nature somewhere, especially if the weather is decent. It gives us the perfect balance to being stuck indoors recording in the studio or editing videos.

By now you might have noticed our love for North Wales with its beautiful landscapes of hills and old castles. 🙂 In today’s post we collected photos from several different trips and thought we’d share them here:

  1. Offa’s Dyke Path by Llangollen, where we filmed parts of “Songbird”
  2. Dinas Bran by Llangollen, the ruin you can see in the distance during “Songbird”
  3. Moel Famau, a great looking ruin on a hill where we have done some trail races in the past

The weather is really picking up and hopefully we’ll find the time to do another hike or two this coming month. But even just having dinner outside feels amazing right now. We tend to complain about the British weather quite a bit but it makes us appreciate the nice days so much more … gotta look at that silver lining 😉

We hope you’ve had a chance to enjoy nature recently. It’s the one thing that’s calming and energising at the same time! 🙂

Stay groovy,
Mona & Lisa

“Neve” The Foster Gosling – Photos

Fly far, (song) bird …

This absolute cutie has been the centre of our universe these last couple of weeks. She has been by our side constantly, no matter if we were filming, editing, song writing (yes, we wrote a new one!), cooking, working, sleeping … and we even took her on a few picnics and walks in the sun.

In a couple of days she will finally make the move to a farm where she will be with a sibling her age (another Canada gosling), a pond, lots of land and a very kind family to look after her. Yes, we’ll miss her terribly but we know she’ll be happy there and she’ll have plenty of room to roam and spread her wings, literally and figuratively.

Geese mate for life, so with a bit of luck the other gosling turns out to be of the opposite gender and they can create a happy little goose family one day and live happily ever after together!

You best believe we’ve taken a lot of video footage of her for various upcoming surprises and, of course, countless photos which we want to show you today.

If you are not obsessed with animals like us, we apologise for the cuteness spam lately but we had to make the most of it for the short time she was with us – now we have plenty of photos and videos to remember the many enchanting moments 🙂

‘Questionable’ Video Shoot – Photos

Are there any other things I need to know? …

A couple of weeks ago we filmed and released a video for our latest single “Questionable”. All in all, it took us three days to shoot: one for filming the dating scenes, one for filming the singing & dancing scenes and one day for filming the spa scenes. Then ensued a week of non-stop editing 🙂 .

Today, we’re sharing a bunch of pictures we took during the filming process. As always, it was the two of us + Papa Rudi + Michaela on set. Whoever had a free minute took a few snaps in between the hustling and bustling. It’s always great to have a little photo album of these fun shooting days to look back on later. And to share them with you to give you a little glimpse into the process!

We’re still planning on also putting together a behind-the-scenes video, but we’re currently in the process of finishing up another original song in the studio and won’t get around to it till after we’re done with that. We hope you’re enjoying the photo impressions for now ♥

Songbird Video Shoot – Photos

Fly far, Songbird …

Last month we filmed and released the music video for our new single “Songbird”.

We got a lot of questions about the filming locations and are currently cutting together a little behind-the-scenes video for it to show you a bit more of where we created the video. However, today we wanted to show you some “behind the scenes” photos already.

The whole video filming only took three days to shoot, and we filmed most of it along the Panorama Walk at Llangollen in North Wales (about an hour south of Liverpool).

As the landscape was already starting to look a bit barren and the trees were losing their leaves, we thought that embracing the rocky parts of that area was a good way to go. On our several camping trips through Wales last summer (here are some photos of Pembrokeshire and Barmouth in the MLT Club Photo Gallery) we truly fell in love with that part of the UK, so we are glad to finally be able to capture some of it in a music clip.

We hope you’ll enjoy the photos, and if you haven’t seen the finished video yet, you can do so here.

Pembrokeshire – Photos

The second best coastline in the world?

Apparently that’s what “National Geographic magazine experts” rated the coast of Pembrokeshire. You better believe we had to verify that ourselves! 😉

In August, the UK was experiencing a very unsuspected short but intense late-summer heatwave. We wanted to make the most of these potentially last really nice days of the year and decided to take a spontaneous 2-night camping trip down south to Pembrokeshire, a part of South Wales, together with Dad and Michaela.

We had heard a lot of nice things about that region of the UK, and the almost Mediterranean looking coastal lines there seemed perfect for the 28°C (82°F) weather we were getting. And we weren’t disappointed!

We love to take you along to our little adventures like that and hope you’ll enjoy doing some exploring with us! We hiked along parts of the coast, swam in the sea, camped on a farm with piglets and sheep and checked out some of the gorgeous coastal towns like Tenby and Dale. And on our way back home we did a quick side-trip to Elan Valley again. This time we found it with much less to almost no water in the reservoirs, and we were quite surprised about how it actually looks like underneath the water surface.

Maybe some of you who are from the UK will have visited these areas before. Did you like it as much as we did?

We arrived back home fully recharged and took lots of inspiration with us. If you’ve been anywhere nice recently let us know!

Barmouth – Photos

Drawn to the sea …

Austria is a completely landlocked country, so if we ever went to the sea as kids it had to be during school holidays and usually involved a plane trip or at least spending a few hours in a hot car.

Now we’re able to enjoy the British coast line pretty much whenever we want to. Granted, it’s not quite the same as our memories from Italy, Croatia, Greece or even Australia and California, but there is something uniquely calming about the wild Irish Sea here on the West Coast of the UK.

A few weeks ago we decided to take a trip to Barmouth, a beautiful historic seaside town in Northern Wales, and some of the surrounding hiking locations.

We stayed overnight and camped in our sleeping bags under the clear night’s sky. It was such a lovely, recharging trip, and as per usual, we brought along a camera or two …

Behind “I Bought Myself A Politician” – DAY 2 & 3 – Photos

A look behind the scenes …

Last week we uploaded all photos taken on Day 1 of the “I Bought Myself A Politician” video shoot.

Today, we’re sharing Day 2 & 3, which completes the behind-the-scenes photo collection of the video production.

It were three very intense but incredibly rewarding days. In theory, we had the whole mansion, including a whirl pool and TV room at our fingertips but for the duration of our 3-day stay we didn’t take breaks except to eat and sleep a handful of hours every morning.

We don’t recommend this long-term, but it allowed us to get the absolute most out of the venue in the short amount of time we were staying there … what a place it was!

Thankfully, the weather was on our side on the last day of filming, and we were able to film the outdoors scene for the solo during a dry few hours. AND it wasn’t cold for once! It was truly a video shoot where things were going better than expected all around 😉

We finally wrapped up at 5 am in the morning, after filming the opening scene for the video in the entry hall of the estate!

We’re already itching to do the next big video production (we caught the bug again!) but it will have to wait a bit until we get more progress on the new album done.
