I’ve been waiting such a long, long time …
We remember singing this song with our equally Beatles obsessed high-school-best-friend ALL THE TIME. We knew it wasn’t a Beatles original but we first heard it performed by the fab four and were hooked by their version. John’s raspy voice, the tight backing vocals, and a subject matter every teenager could relate to. Only that we weren’t waiting for a letter but rather the next text message 😉
When said best friend came visiting us in Liverpool a few years ago we spent hours reminiscing about that time and remembered all the songs we used to sing during lunchbreak – ‘Please Mr. Postman’ of course being one of them! So off we went to our rehearsal room, grabbed a guitar and had a little go at it. It was a beautiful moment!
A few weeks later we decided to add the song to our actual Cavern setlist and started performing it with the guys. It was so much fun to do. We can’t quite remember how on earth we came up with the idea to inject a bit of ‘Wipe Out’ into the arrangement but it worked 🙂 It quickly became one of our favourites to perform!
NOW, speaking of Mr. Postman …Today marks the day that you can start pre-ordering our new “Live at the Cavern Club” double album!!! Before the rest of the world even knows this album exists (they’ll find out on Sunday!).
Official Release Date: November 8, 2020!
The album contains both sets (28 songs in total) of our 100th and final residency show at the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool, played on October 8, 2016. Of course, it includes lots of Beatles and 60s covers as well as a few original songs from our debut album.
And OF COURSE, all MLT Club orders will be signed by us! If for some reason you don’t want a signature please let us know in the order notes.

We’ve been waiting 4 years to share this album with you, so you can probably imagine our excitement! We hope you’ll enjoy the songs, the new video and the new merch. Putting this together made us miss the time we could spend on stage, meet new people, laugh, sing, dance and all be together in one room experiencing the joy music can bring.

Wow, that video is fantastically fabulous! It makes me long for the days when we could go enjoy live music. But, at the same time, it vibrates and rocks me in the comfort of my home just watching the video on my phone, listening to your amazing version of “Mr. Postman” through my headphones. Awesome job and so much fun to watch. I especially love the inclusion of a bit of Wipe Out! And, I love the excitement the bass, and especially the drums, brought to the song! YES! The first kid on my block to pre order!! wo wooo! I love Mr. Postman big time, and this proves my point all along about how wonderful you ladies are! You take a song from 1963 and make it come to life with your love and talent. To me this is music the way I know it, such a catchy tune and you both play off each other and it is twins but one person and the energy is fantastic! I love the interaction between the two of you, it is so much fun to watch and I am just as joyful and moving in my seat. As a drummer? WOW wipe out was spot on! And then you blend back in to Mr. Postman….not to many groups can do this and do it well and smooth! Man I Just love your music both covers and originals. I had Beatles on More #2 on yesterday coming home from work and just amazed how well you both can perform these songs and make them your own! My weekend is off to amazing start knowing I pre ordered. Now the waiting begins but it is worth the wait!!! Thank you Thank you !!!

Oh, I also have to add I thought the instrumentation on Wipe Out was just sizzling. It’s my quintessential Wipe Out! Those guitar riffs were fabulous, and the drumming was wonderful. You both rocked it awesome to make any surf music fan proud!

God I love the way you play, and your version is my absolute favourite! OMG Ladies, what an amazing arrangement. The first part sounds like an arrangement the Shirelles would have used in Soldier Boy, and the Doo Wop Girl groups of the 60s. Then in the middle break into the most iconic Instrumental of the 60s, Wipe Out.
The best arrangement I have ever heard. No wonder the Beatles arrangement had such a big influence on you.
