On August 16th 2013 we played the Hafen Open Air in Austria, on the shores of River Danube (hafen = harbour). On our set list we included Can’t Buy Me Love which we filmed and uploaded to YouTube a few months later. That video has turned 6 years old on September 14th and has been watched over half a million times, so we thought it fitting to revisit that day in picture form.
Below you can find all the photos from the day. We played the show with Robin Gadermaier on the bass and Philipp Wolf on the drums. Halfway through an ORF (Austrian national public service broadcaster) film team came on stage to capture some of the performance for a news special.

Question: is it a requirement for whoever plays bass on your gigs that they use your dad’s red Hofner bass?
It’s perfect for the overall band sound we’re going for, looks great and plays easy. It’s just the ideal instrument for our line-up so we usually ask bassists to play it at live shows. So far, everyone quickly fell in love with it 🙂

This cool MLT mousepad has been an office fixture for the last year. Was also a conversation piece with a co-worker who liked the image. She and her husband are big Beatles and Beach Boys fans.
