1st MLT Club Birthday – Q&A & Prize Draw

Happy Birthday, MLT Club!

The MLT Club is 1 year old today … can you believe it?!

Some of you have been here from the very start, and many have joined along the way.

Looking back, it’s been 12 month full of new experiences for us. The type of content we have been creating for this wonderful community had us think outside the box, and we tried many new concepts, ideas and approaches to what this Club could evolve into.

Whether your reason for joining is simply to support us and our vision financially, or because you also want to enjoy all the exclusive features and content we create here, and involve yourself in this groovy community – we want you to know that we appreciate your all’s commitment very much. It helps us make more of what you and we are ultimately here for – the music!

To celebrate the Club’s 1st anniversary, we made a little birthday quiz for you guys to test your MLT knowledge. Thanks for taking part in the game, and congratulations to all three winners! We don’t want to spoil the surprise, so please watch the video to find out who won 🙂

Since a dozen of you scored 100% we had to get Mr. Owl to help us in the random winner-draw. As promised, the three chosen Club members will each get a “£35 + free shipping” voucher for the MLT store! If you’re one of them please keep an eye on your inbox over the weekend – we’ll be in touch soon!

That’s all for today. Thank you for being here.

Groovy love,
Mona & Lisa

  1. Congratulations to the prize winners…you should be very proud! For someone who thought he knew a lot about the MLT experience I certainly did not fare well on the quiz but will do better next time. Such a fun Q&A video. The two of you are so sweet and always so willing to reveal your thoughts and the behind the scene information. I firmly believe that is one of the biggest reasons why your fanbase is so devoted to you. You are very special, so real, and make us feel the same! 🙂

  2. Congratulations!

  3. Congratulations to Dale, Jung Roe and Christomir! That’s awesome. I know you are excited. It was fun watching the drawing! Congratulations, guys! ?

  4. I loved your video for the MonaLisa-Twins Club’s first birthday! I love seeing you and hearing you both talk. I just love your accents. And. Mona I love the braided hair. I hope you don’t cut it.
I have had a rough day today and this video really cheered me up! Thank you for doing it.You made it fun and cheery. Love you all and all that you do! Stay Groovy, ??

  5. Great Q&A! Great questions and lovely answers! Loved it and looked so pretty too, not just you but the outfits, hair, all of it, even the background. Loved the mugs too! What I enjoyed the most is seeing you be yourselves. It’s truly a gift to us. The highlight for me came at 1:44. Naturals.

  6. First off, congratulations to Dale, Jung and Christomir! The quiz was a lot of fun to take and I want to thank Mona & Lisa for taking the time to put it together. And a big Happy Birthday to the Club and everyone in it! I find it thrilling to be associated with so many clever, intelligent, knowledgeable people all of whom obviously have impeccable good taste. I think its safe to say that not only do all your fans absolutely love your music Mona & Lisa, but they also love both of you for the fun and amazing human beings you are. I know I treasure the opportunity to get to see you interacting with each other and just being yourselves. Clearly your love of making music is aimed at the joy it can give to others… which reveals your loving and generous spirit. And that is what your fans feel and appreciate. Thank you for everything you do.

  7. What a great surprise to have my question as the first drawn! The whole video was fun and interesting to watch. And then to have my name first drawn again for the giveaway, well, October’s being pretty good to me, although I can’t say I never win anything because every time the MonaLisa Twins Club has a birthday celebration with a quiz/prize giveaway, I seem to win! Many thanks to Team MLT and all of my fellow members for this a special weekend! Stay groovy!

  8. I think in the whole pop world, no artist has such a close and cordial relationship with his fans as you both do. Your imagination and inventiveness is limitless and we love you for that too. Your mutual respect and family cohesion is also exemplary. For these and many other reasons, you deserve all the recognition and support we have to give. Thank you for everything you have given us and will give in the future.

  9. Thank you so much for this video and spending time with us. I was just saying on FaceBook that this fan site is better than any other site I know about. You are most kind and really do treat us well. I enjoyed all of the answers and look forward to what the Club is going to do in the next year. Mike.

  10. Hi Mona and Lisa. I guess I should apologise in advance for my Club Forum question (currently unanswered), requesting an Adelaide visit, complete with a song! Fortunately for you and all concerned, it is not me singing!

  11. Oh wow, I never win anything, so that was so special, thank you!

The Q and A was just so enjoyable, if you kept going with a 100 more questions, I could have watched it all day! Potluck, you never heard of that before eh? Maybe it is a Canadian thing I don’t know, but often at work here or casual get togethers with friends we sometimes do a Potluck thing where everyone is invited to show up and bring their favorite food to share with everyone. Mandarin Chicken salad and Weiner Schnitzel sound just wonderful. Loved that Kangaroo you showed, it’s lovable cute face reminded me of my dog Max 🙂

Thank you so much for making this Q and A video for the Club Members; what an awesome way to celebrate the Clubs 1st year birthday. Loved all the questions and your answers. It’s always so awesome to learn more about your music, how you do it, and just everyday things about the both of you through Q and As like this or at the Ask the MLT in the forum, as you are both so interesting and amazing people.

    1. Haha, so you did say the infamous “I never win anything!” line, after I bailed out of it – you actually went there 😛

      Congrats 🙂

      1. Congratulations Chris!

      2. Thanks. 🙂
And you may call me Itso (or Itzo), if you want.
It sounds like “pizza”, but without the “p” at the beginning, and with a flat “o” instead of an “a” at the end. 😛

      3. I suppose reading this now that line is a little cheesy isn’t it, but for someone who really doesn’t win often, that is the first thing that came to mind. But the reality is when we participate in things like this and get to see Mona and Lisa like this, we all win. Congrats to you and Dale! 🙂

      4. Haha… nah, it isn’t cheesy. 🙂 As I already admitted, it was the first thing that came to my mind too; and then I quickly realized that in my case it wouldn’t be true, because I did win those 365 beers… and a couple of bicycles… and probably other things – can’t remember now. But then again, I won those prizes without the need for a drawing – it is indeed very rare for me to get lucky in a drawing… 😛

    2. We have potluck here in the States too. Its great!

  12. Speaking of instrument swapping on the newly issued 50th anniversary of Abbey Road they included a take of “Ballad of John and Yoko” when George and Ringo weren’t available so John and Paul just went into the studio alone and they jokingly refer to each other as “George” and “Ringo”. lol
    “You ready Ringo?” “Sure George”

  13. Thanks so much for preparing both the quiz and the Q&A video. One per year would be a nice treat if you can manage it. Congratulations to the quiz draw winners and to all those who participated.

  14. Loved the video presentation…. An awesome gift, loved all answers to the Qs and Congrats going out to the 3 MLT Club Bday Quiz Winners whose names were drawn ?✌️?Thankyou for the video presentation, most enjoyable!!!!

  15. Because it came up again (as it rightly should) – seriously, you should do the live-stream concert thing, ASAP. You will make many of you fans happy, I assure you! For them/us it would be the next best thing, to seeing you play music in person! And for you it would be much, MUCH easier to organize than traveling somewhere (especially – across the Atlantic) to play an actual gig for a live audience.
And if/when you do it, please remember the site I suggested last time, and use that one to host it – Stageit.com
Your new friend Mike Masse used it a few years ago. I watched his livecast show on Stageit (with Jeff Hall, from his basement), and it was amazing! The site allows you to sell tickets, AND for the viewers to send extra tips to you, and all of that can be done via PayPal (which, IMHO, is many orders of magnitude better than those sites that ask us for our card numbers directly).
Oh, and don’t worry about the time zones – just do it at a time that is convenient for people in the USA, Canada and Brazil. All of your loyal fans in those countries in the Americas (you know you have many there) deserve that gesture, AND it’s only fair that you should acomodate them first, with the online gig, since you won’t be able to go there for a tour with real live gigs in the near future (because of all that working visa shenanigans and transportation issues)…. We, here in Europe, and especially those in the UK, will just have to live with it – after all, in theory, it should be much easier and cheaper for us to travel to see you live, when you start gigging again, so we shouldn’t really be allowed to complain about the time of the online stream; and anyway, we should still be able to see it, if we sacrifice some sleep on 1 (one) night – whoever fancies himself/herself a big enough MLT fan, here in Europe, should definitely be prepared to do that, and not complain about it 😛

  16. Wow. I was going to say “I never win anything!”… but then I realized that it wouldn’t be true, because I once won 365 litres of beer… and I did it by precision kicking of footballs into a hole; an yet, my football skills are normally atrocious, and I don’t really drink beer (nor do I like drinking alcohol at all)…LOL

    But I digress.
    See my next comment…

  17. Thank you for taking the time to create this video. It was fun to hear your answers. Congratulations on the first year of the club. I am very glad I found your music about a year ago. With all that is going on in the news, it is nice to put on my headphones, listen to your music and feel the tension slip away. I am looking forward to seeing where your musical journey takes you in 2020.

  18. Thank you Ladies, I really enjoyed that! Love all the different answers. (Especially Mine. Hahaha )
You both have a tremendous amount of respect for each other and it shows. I love the different things you each are interested in. (I was a Photography minor in College) and ( I have had gardens in the past).
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this for all of us. It was so much fun.
    P. S. Would it be possible to give the answers to the quiz at some point? Especially for those of us that couldn’t get them all correct.
    Thanks Again.

    1. I loved your question, Rick 😉
Frankly, liked it much better than Jerry’s (sorry, Jerry LOL) You know what I mean.

      1. Thanks Itso

  19. Fun video, you girls are the best! Rudi and Michaela too!
