“The Duo Sessions” Album – Release Date: June 26
Surprise Announcement!! In less than two weeks we are releasing a new album: The Duo SessionsIt’s a compilation record of all the Duo Session recordings we have put out in the MLT Club over the last months, plus a few new ones!
We just set up the pre-sale for MLT Club members exclusively so all members can order a signed copy now. We’ll ship out all pre-orders as soon as the CDs arrive from the pressing plant which should be any day now.
We haven’t teased this project very much so this is probably coming out of the blue for most of you, and we want to point out right away that this release is in no way replacing our next original album which is still very much in the works.
But with every Duo Session we released we had more people asking where they could purchase or download these songs. So, we decided to package all the songs up neatly and give them a home by putting them on their own album.
For this CD we have combined 15 Duo Session recordings, 11 of which you already know from the Duo Sessions Section here at the MLT Club and 4 new ones that will see the light of day in video-form in the months ahead.
We mixed originals and various 60’s covers, some from artists that we have never covered before. They are all intimate versions with no fancy studio production. Just the two of us (usually with two guitars) in front of a couple of microphones. If we go by your feedback, you’ve been really enjoying these more stripped-back arrangement 🙂

Since we had all these recordings ready we thought it would be a waste not to make them available for those that would like to take the music outside of the MLT Club.
Of course we will continue to make more of them as time goes on! This CD is a collection of the first set of 15 … but we have already brainstormed ideas for Vol. 2 and 3. 😉
The cover art is drawn by Lisa with some small Mona-additions. We’ll show you the creative process of it in an upcoming video.

I’ve raved about most of the songs on the new album, but didn’t know about “I’m Looking Through You” which was on my wish list. Beautiful job! A nice surprise. Saw that and couldn’t wait for the CD so did the download. Listening to “Lola” now. So amazing. Such class and style. So many incredible songs! THANK YOU!

“I’m Looking Through You” from Beatles Rubber Soul album, like “If I Needed Someone” is such an underrated gem with great guitar riffs. I’m so looking forward to seeing that duo session too.
Well technically for you it’s already tomorrow and I’m 2 hours late with Happy Birthday…you’re 6 hours ahead of Dallas / Ft Worth Texas…I ? love you girls and I mentioned one time before we have a connection…or at least my mind says so….I was a country music radio DJ and a Talent Coordinator for a local music association…my last day on radio was June 15 1994…you were born the next day…kinda korny huh…but I LuvYa and Happy Birthday Mona and Lisa?

And I feel like a kid at Christmas…LOL…I Remember when the Rolling Stones released Sticky Fingers album in 1971, I was the first kid on my block to get Exile On Main Street in 1972, so I have the same feeling here knowing I am the first kid ( ok I am older now..) on my block to get the Duo Sessions!!

I just have to add that this album cover art is undescribably marvelous! Every time I look at it I see more of the detail. And it is all originally drawn, not repetitively copied. I will definitely be framing this cover and hanging it on the wall when it comes. Lisa you are absolutely amazing in so many ways!
