Green Screen, Blue Lips …
There were a lot of bright colours involved when we shot our music video for “I Wanna Kiss You”.
If you’ve seen the official music video (watch it HERE) you know that the finished clip looks nothing like the “Making Of” shots. The green screen got turned into a comic world and our blue lips turned red – all thanks to the magic of editing! When we rendered the finished video, our computer was huffing and puffing like it was sprinting up a mountain. A few graphic card crashes, blue screens of death and fatal processing overloads later, we were able to give birth to this little comic-strip inspired clip.
Looking back on the 100+ videos we’ve created over the years this one really stands out. While working on it we learned a lot of tricks that we still use to this day when creating new videos! Green screen, colour grading, animation … this video really had it all 🙂
Below we uploaded a few more so far unreleased photos taken during the shoot. It’s not the most diverse selection of photos but when you work with nothing but a green screen, well, all you have is pictures of you in front of a green screen 😉

One of my favorite songs from the WWTG album and always enjoyed watching this behind the scenes on your DVD for the WWTG album. You’ve got the chops of being quite clever Video creators and editors in case your night jobs don’t get you where you want to be.
So fun to see my favorites having so much fun! Every look is beautiful on you ladies – even blue lips! The real video is very cool but seeing you both so naturally yourselves I’m not sure which I enjoyed more… both fabulous

With those shots, you could start a blue lip fashion trend. That making of video and these photos were so fun to watch, and it looks like you both had a lot of fun making the I Wanna Kiss You Video. Was nice to see Papa Rudi there giving you the moral support too. How can you go wrong with him there. The video came out brilliantly and attests to all your remarkable shared talents, from great song writing, to acting, to video production and special effects, and of course your singing and musicianship. Thanks for brightening up my afternoon here.

Sir Ian McKellen (Gandalf) because he had to be filmed separately, on a greenscreen set in the Hobbit said: “I felt pretty miserable … and thought perhaps, has the time come for me to stop acting altogether if I can’t cope with these difficulties?”
In contrast, you girls, seem to manage particularly well and have fun doing it. Bravo!
You two were really a couple of clowns in the making of that video. I loved it! I thought the song was very good also. It sure was enjoyable to watch.
